Are you following 30Fifteen on social media, yet? If so, you probably saw that today’s tip for #activeApril is encouraging you to spend more time with active people. Naturally, the more active people you hang out with, the more active you’ll be.

This concept extends far beyond keeping active.

Energy can be very contagious. That means if you spend a lot of time with negative people, you’re more likely to have negative thoughts yourself, which is a total bummer. We all know how important it is to stay positive in this day and age. It’s easy to spot the positive people. They lift you up. They empower you. They make you laugh. When you spend time with them, you can’t help but be happy. You probably already have friends who do these things.

The same goes for motivation levels.

Surround yourself with highly motivated people, and it’s bound to rub off on you. In fact, this little tidbit should have been included in our Habits of Successful Ladies blog post, because trying to stay motivated is damn near impossible if you are completely surrounded by unmotivated people. That goes for working out (like #activeApril states) or for building your empire. So, don’t be afraid to cut the negativity out of your life. You deserve only the best!
