Summer is in full swing, and keeping cool is what we are all about. 
Here's 5 things we're doing to keep cool right now. 

1) Chill strategically
There are pulse points on your body you probably know about- on your inner wrists and near the carotid arteries in your neck—where the blood vessels are closer to the surface of the skin. Putting an ice pack or a cold, wet towel—anything cooler than the air temperature—on those points will lower your blood temperature. There's others on your feet- which when you're outside might be trickier to get too, but if you're at home - put your feet in a bucket of cold water! 

2) Eat Watermelon
It's full of water and a lot of fiber - making it the best summertime snack. Any fruit and vegetables are good to eat when it's hot out, because they contain a lot of water and fiber - which the body will use to keep you cool when it's hot out. 

3) Salt it
When it's hot out - we inevitably sweat, when we sweat we are losing a lot of essential minerals especially sodium, so it's essential you replace these to prevent cramping. Sprinkling some salt on your watermelon or cucumber is a great way to do that as well as reaching for a glass of coconut water - which is  a great natural electrolyte drink. 

4) Skip on the body lotion
Yep you heard us -body lotion creates a barrier that traps body heat. Use gel or spray moisturizers instead. They evaporate quickly off the skin, removing heat. Maybe even add a little menthol or peppermint oil to it - it'll make your skin feel even cooler.

5) Drink a cup of tea
Lots of people think drinking hot drinks will only make you hotter in the summer time, but it keeps you cool. There’s some scientific reason for this - we'll let you google it, but know that it makes you sweat more resulting in you feeling cooler.
