Yes, its February, the month of love! Whether you love/hate the Valentine’s hype, there’s not much getting away from it. No matter what your relationship status the more you love yourself, the more powerful you are, and the more love there is in your life. Or so say every self-help book you pick up.  

So, here are three loving things you can do for yourself right now, today.

Give yourself a break

Enough with the self-criticism, judgement and whatever else you’ve been telling yourself. Start speaking to yourself with the same amount of respect and love you want in your life. You are in charge of your self-love cup and how full it is. No one else, so start with positive affirmations to yourself every day!   

Allow yourself some rest

This society wants us to “go go go”, well, we hate to say it, but you cannot sustain a “go go go” attitude.  We will all eventually burn out. Make sure you plan small breaks for yourself during the week, and then bigger (vacation style) breaks for yourself during the year. It’s important for your physical and mental health. Switching off, disconnecting from the outside world and reconnecting with yourself.  

Nourish your body

This is quite possibly the highest form of self-love. Putting nourishing foods and fluids into your body keep your body functioning at its optimum and keeps your mood, and energy stable.
